NJCAA Partners with CareFactor and Miller-Lewis Benefit Consultants
Charlotte, NC – The NJCAA has announced a partnership with CareFactor and Miller-Lewis Benefit Consultants to form the NJCAA Employee Health and Wellness Benefit Plan. With over 25 years of experience, the partners will work with NJCAA member colleges directly to advise institutions on employee benefits that fall under the exclusive plan.
In the partnership, the CareFactor and Miller-Lewis teams will allow institutions to design benefit plans that fit specific member college needs. Through four objectives, flexibility, cooperation, transparency, and innovation, the NJCAA Association Health Plan includes an efficient funding approach and the freedom to keep expenses manageable.
"Excellent benefit plans do not have to be unaffordable for colleges or their employees, they just need to be geared towards specific needs," stated Kent Miller, Miller-Lewis Benefit Consultants President. Group purchasing of administrative services, network access fees, pharmacy benefit fees, and stop-loss insurance allows expenses to stay as low as approximately one third of those seen in traditional fully insured or self-funded arrangements. In addition, group purchasing provides the most cost-effective acquisition of administration, network discounting, pharmacy pricing, and more, though it cannot reduce the number and severity of healthcare claims.
All participating member organizations will receive detailed monthly reports and health plan analytics specific to them. Upon renewing, representatives will be in touch to discuss the plan(s) and services moving forward, to evaluate the current needs and desires of plan holders.
