#NJCAAReplay Game of the Week Nov. 19
On Thursday, Nov. 19, the NJCAA Network, the new home for NJCAA digital content will re-air the 2018 NJCAA Division II Baseball World Series championship game between No. 1 LSU Eunice (LA) and No. 2 Parkland (IL) at the David Allen Memorial Ballpark in Enid, OK. A pair of well-known programs, the Bengals and Cobras stood at three in the bottom of the ninth, but Slate Fuller's two-run walk-off home run guided the Bengals to their sixth title in program history, with a score of 5-3.
Top-seeded LSUE won their last championship three years prior in 2015 and a first title in 2006. Zach Hester won Pitcher of the Tournament after striking out nine batters in eight innings in the championship contest. The sophomore allowed just two earned runs in 16 total innings in the tournament. Teammate Koi Westbrook took home Defensive Player of the Tournament honors and Jeff Willis, Coach of the Tournament. The Bengals also had three members on the All-Tournament team after playing through the tournament without a loss. Parkland wrapped up the 2018 campaign with an improved runner-up place after finishing third in 2017. A successful run, the Cobras' Brendan Joyce and Trystin Raikes earned a spot on the All-Tournament team that year.
The LSU Eunice and Parkland game is the ninth of the reoccurring NJCAA Replay game of the week, highlighting one flashback game every Thursday night on the NJCAA Network.
