#NJCAAReplay Game of the Week: Sept. 17
Navarro and Chipola for week 1 on the NJCAA Network
On Thursday, Sept. 17, the NJCAA Network, the new home for NJCAA digital content will replay the 2019 NJCAA DI Baseball World Series first round game featuring Navarro (TX) and Chipola (FL). The game included an unforgettable performance by the Bulldogs' Jose Gonzalez Jr. who boasted three home runs, tying the single game NJCAA DI World Series record.
The Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead following Gonzalez's second inning home run, the first of the day. Gonzalez's effort led to All-Tournament team honors as well as the Homa Thomas Sportsmanship award. Navarro's early win over Chipola, the two-time defending nation champions, sparked the Bulldogs to a third place finish at the 2019 NJCAA DI World Series.
The Navarro and Chipola game is the first of the reoccurring NJCAA Replay game of the week, spotlighting one flashback game every Thursday night on the NJCAA Network. Fans are able to engage and follow along on social media each week leading up to the primetime event as well as cast their vote on the weekly poll each Monday via @NJCAANetwork.
