NJCAA Foundation Announces Second Annual Awards Dinner and HOF Ceremony

Charlotte, NC – The NJCAA Foundation has announced its second annual awards event and Hall of Fame ceremony to take place Friday, June 10, 2022, at 6:30 PM ET at the Charlotte Hilton Uptown in Charlotte, NC. With a mission to recognize the best in two-year college, the event will acknowledge exemplary achievements from individuals involved with the association, past and present.

Along with the Hall of Fame induction ceremony, the association's three annual individual student-athlete awards will be recognized – the Betty Jo Graber Female Student-Athlete of the Year, the David Rowlands Male Student-Athlete of the Year, and the Lea Plarski Award.

For the second time in the association's history, two additional awards will be recognized at the awards event – the Champion Award and the Difference Maker Award. The Champion Award honors a member or former member of the NJCAA community who exemplifies resilience, excellence, and passion. The Difference Maker Award honors a supporter of the association and the NJCAA Foundation in its endeavors.

"The highly anticipated inaugural event last year was phenomenal as the NJCAA Foundation showcased significant individuals who not only impacted the NJCAA but the entire world of sports," stated Brian Luckett, NJCAA Foundation Executive Director. "We cannot wait to bring everyone together for the first in-person event and to build on the success of this amazing event in 2022."

Last year's inaugural NJCAA Foundation Awards event, presented by the Nicole & David Tepper Foundation, took place virtually on Thursday, June 24, and was headlined by keynote speaker Leonard Hamilton, current Florida State University Men's Basketball Head Coach and former NJCAA basketball student-athlete at Gaston College (NC).
