DIII championship bid awarded to Herkimer

Charlotte, NC - Herkimer College will serve as the host for the 2020 NJCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship.  Genessee Community College will host the 2021 championship in Batavia, NY.  In 2022, the championship will return to Herkimer, NY.

The championship tournament will be held at Wehrum Stadium on the campus of Herkimer College from November 14-17, 2020.  Donnie Dutcher, Herkimer athletic director, will serve as the director of the tournament.

Herkimer County Community College is excited to be the home of the 2020 and 2022 Division III Women’s Soccer National Championships," stated Dutcher. " At Herkimer we take great pride and commitment in providing the most rewarding experience to all student-athletes, coaches, families, and fans that will be part of the national championships.  I would like to thank the National Office and Championship Events Committee for believing in Herkimer to offer this experience to everyone involved.  Herkimer has hosted a number of national championships in soccer and lacrosse and look forward to 2020 and 2022." 

Herkimer has a long history of hosting premier soccer championships, as they have served as the host for the NJCAA DIII Men's Soccer Championship since 2009.

The 2019 NJCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship will be hosted by Tompkins Cortland Community College in Dryden, NY.
