Joplin to host 2024 and 2025 DII Women's Basketball Championships

Charlotte, NC– The NJCAA has awarded Joplin Sports Authority as its host for the 2024 and 2025 NJCAA Division II Women's Basketball Championships.  

Joplin Sports Authority will host the 20-team championship at the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center on the campus of Missouri Southern University in Joplin, MO, from March 18-23, 2024, and March 17-22, 2025.    

 "It is a privilege and an honor to be able to host such a high class and significant National Championship," said Jared Bruggeman, Executive Director of Joplin Sports Authority. "Our commitment to the NJCAA membership is to make this an exceptional championship event and experience for the student-athletes, coaches, staff, parents, and fans! Thank you to the NJCAA National Office and Championship Events Committee for supporting our bid!"

The 2024 national tournament will mark the first year that Joplin Sports Authority has hosted the DII Women's Basketball Championship. Joplin Sports Authority previously hosted the DII Men's Golf Championship in 2022 and were selected to host the championship again in 2024.
