Kevin Salisbury Inducted into NJCAA Swimming & Diving CA HOF

Charlotte, NC – The NJCAA has announced one honoree to be inducted into the NJCAA Swimming & Diving Coaches Association Hall of Fame. One contributor has been selected to join the 2024 class. Read below for more on Kevin Salisbury.


Kevin Salisbury | Contributor | Community College of Rhode Island

Kevin Salisbury served in several roles for the NJCAA and made numerous contributions during his involvement with the association. Starting in 1999, Salisbury made his way into junior college athletics by stepping into the role of Assistant Director of Athletics, Aquatics, and Facilities at the Community College of Rhode Island. Since then, his involvement in the NJCAA continued to grow and flourish.  On the regional level, Salisbury served in roles including NJCAA Region 21 Men's Director and Assistant Women's Director.  In 2016, he joined the NJCAA Eligibility Committee for a three-year term and in 2018 was selected as Vice Chair. From 2017-21 Salisbury served as the NJCAA Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Committee Chair.  Prior to this position, he served as the NJCAA Region 21 Men's Director. From 2021-23 Salisbury served in several roles including NJCAA Senior Men's Administrator and has been a member of the NJCAA Championship & Sport Governance Committee.

Salisbury was awarded the NJCAA Swimming & Diving "Dr. Jack Cistriano Service Award" in 2022. The award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to swimming and diving. In 2023, Salisbury was one of four community/junior college athletic directors to be awarded NACDA/NATYCAA Athletic Director of the Year.

Prior to the Community College of Rhode Island, Salisbury was the head swimming and diving coach at Clark University and assistant coach at Brown University and Providence College. He holds a BS in Psychology and MS in Physical Education/Sport Psychology from the University of Rhode Island.
