Erie and Schenectady Win 2013 NJCAA Bowling Titles

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. - The Erie Community College (N.Y.) women's bowling team won the program's 28th national title Saturday afternoon at the NJCAA Bowling Invitational Championships at the Thruway Lanes in Cheektowaga. ECC topped runner-up Iowa Central Community College by 469 pins. On the men's side, Schenectady County Community College (N.Y.) held off two-time defending national champion Vincennes University (Ind.), 13,500 to 13,343, for the title.

Herkimer County Community College's (N.Y.) Sarah Foley, who won the singles and doubles titles Friday, picked up the All-Events championship in the women's division. ECC's Liz Szpara finished second. Dan Healy of Vincennes edged Schenectady County's Tyler Mocharie by three pins to win the men's All-Events title.
