Charlotte, NC - Hutchinson running back Waymond Jordan Jr. has been named the 2024 NJCAA DI Football Offensive Player of the Year.
Sophomore running back Waymond Jordan Jr. led the Blue Dragons to their first appearance and tile in the NJCAA DI Football Championship since 2020-21 season. En route to the Championship victory, the No.3 Blue Dragons defeated No.2 ranked Georgia Military 63-21 in the 2024 NJCAA DI Football Semifinal and then beat No.1 Iowa Western 28-23 to claim the title.
Jordan Jr. ran for 1,612 yards, 134.3 yards per game, and 20 touchdowns this season. He finished out the 2024 season first in the nation in yards, yards per game, and touchdowns, while also finishing fourth in the nation in yards per rush with 7.4. Waymond Jordan Jr. performance earned him the JUCOWeekly Tophy which is presented to The Best JUCO Player in America.
The Pensacola, FL native had offers from major NCAA Division I schools including Central Florida, South Florida, Jacksonville State, Stephen F.
