Charlotte, NC - With the conclusion of the 2023 NJCAA Division I Football regular season and the final national poll, the NJCAA has announced the details of the NJCAA Division I Football Playoff games.

As the No. 1 seed, Hutchinson (KS) will host No. 4 East Mississippi at Gowans Stadium in Hutchinson, KS on Saturday, December 2, at 3:00 PM ET / 2:00 PM CT. The Blue Dragons finished the regular season with a record of 10-0 and held the top spot in the NJCAA Division I Football poll since the first week of the regular season. Hutchinson enters the postseason leading the nation in rushing touchdowns with 31 as well as in sacks with 55. The Blue Dragons are led offensively by freshman quarterback Samari Collier and freshman running back Tyrell Reed Jr. Collier ranks third in the nation in pass efficiency with 159.1 and Reed Jr. ranks second in the nation in touchdowns with 12. On the defensive side of the ball, Hutchinson is led by Daniel Brown who leads the nation in sacks with 17.5.
The Lions finished the regular season with a record of 9-2. East Mississippi closed the season on a seven-game winning streak, including back-to-back playoff victories over top-10 MACCC opponents, Copiah-Lincoln and Mississippi Gulf Coast. Ty Keyes, sophomore quarterback for the Lions, leads the nation in passing yards with 2,955, leads in touchdowns with 29, and is second in yards per game with 268.6. East Mississippi leads the nation in passing yards with 3,129 and passing touchdowns with 29.
No. 2 Iowa Western will host No. 3 Kilgore (TX) at Titan Stadium in Council Bluffs, IA on Sunday, December 3 at 3:00 PM ET / 2:00 PM CT. The Reivers finished the regular season with a record of 10-1. Throughout the season, Iowa Western earned ranked victories over Garden City, Butler, and Snow College. The Reivers are ranked sixth in the nation in rushing with 2,128 yards and first in the nation in rushing attempts with 513. Defensive lineman, rs-freshman Clev Lubin, leads the Reivers with 10 sacks this season, third in the nation. Quarterback, rs-sophomore Hunter Watson, is tenth in the nation in passing TDs with 16.
The Rangers finished the regular season with a record of 9-1. Kilgore leads the nation in points per game (42), passing yards per attempt (9.8), passing yards for completion (18.6), passing touchdowns (29), and rushing 1st downs (136). Sophomore wide receiver, Michael Phoenix, leads Kilgore in touchdowns with eight, sixth in the nation. Phoenix also ranks ninth in yards per game (70) and yards per catch (17).

The winners of the semifinal contests will advance to the 2023 NJCAA Division I Football Championship, presented by Zurich Insurance, set to take place in Little Rock, Arkansas, at War Memorial Stadium. The championship will be televised nationally by ESPNU on Wednesday, December 13 at 8:00 PM ET / 7:00 PM CT. The primetime airing is the sixth consecutive NJCAA football championship on national television, the second on ESPN.
