Charlotte, NC – NJCAA President & CEO Dr. Christopher Parker has been named to the USA Basketball Board of Directors. Dr. Parker will serve in an organizational membership/affiliate director role. The USA Board of Directors consists of 15 members and reelected Chairperson Martin E. Dempsey, will serve through 2028.
"It's an honor to represent the NJCAA and the United States on the USA Basketball Board of Directors," stated Dr. Christopher Parker, NJCAA President & CEO. "The work USA Basketball does is phenomenal and I'm excited to be able to play a part in continuing that great work."
USA Basketball is the national governing body for the sport of basketball in the United States tasked with selecting and training USA teams that compete in FIBA-sponsored competitions and national events. The goal of USA Basketball is to develop youth basketball initiatives including player development, coach education, and safety.
Dr. Parker previously served as Co-Board member for USA Basketball.
