Charlotte, NC – The NJCAA will host the seventh annual NJCAA Day on Thursday, October 19 as the association celebrates opportunity, history, and the unity of member colleges, student-athletes, administrators, alumni, and fans.
This year's comprehensive theme, A Million Reasons Why, will center around highlighting the importance of the junior college experience and the countless opportunities presented at the two-year level in athletics and in the classroom. To demonstrate the far-reaching impact of two-year collegiate athletics, all current and former NJCAA student-athletes, coaches, administrators, or supporters are encouraged to give $1 to the NJCAA Foundation to help meet the goal of raising $1 million to support future opportunities for student-athletes.
The NJCAA was established to create opportunities and help student-athletes not only succeed in their respective sports but also succeed in life. Through the NJCAA, student-athletes are given a chance to take that next step in their athletic and academic careers and blaze a path to success. With this year's NJCAA theme of A Million Reasons Why, the NJCAA strives to recognize the endless possibilities that the two-year experience creates while also highlighting the importance of giving and how generosity plays a vital role in the work done by the NJCAA Foundation.
The NJCAA encourages all to take to social media on #NJCAADay to experience the day-long celebration of the association and its members. A number of templates and resources for specific social media platforms to utilize throughout NJCAA Day can be found in the NJCAA Day Marketing Toolkit.
Last year's theme, The Journey Begins Here, focused on highlighting the amazing accomplishments of former and current NJCAA student-athletes, coaches, and administrators on and off the playing surfaces.
More information as well as a giving link will be shared as NJCAA Day approaches.
