NJCAA COVID-19 update - winter spring statistics update

With the recent cancellation of winter national championships and spring sport competition due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the NJCAA has made a determination regarding statistical accumulations, record books, and other pertinent information to athletic accomplishments on the playing surfaces.

  • 2020 Winter championship tournament appearances will be credited for all Division I and II men's and women's basketball teams that earned a berth to their respective tournament.
  • The NJCAA will not recognize a national champion for the 2020 Division I and II men's and women's basketball championships, or any 2020 spring sports.
  • Individual statistics and marks will remain as is for all 2020 spring sports competition.
    • The NJCAA has announced, along with the NCAA and NAIA, that student-athletes will not be charged with a season of competition for the 2020 season. Therefore, accumulation of any statistics for a student-athlete during the 2020 spring season will not impact their eligibility moving forward.   • Single-game/event records by a team or individual will be recognized for all 2020 spring sports.
  • All statistics for 2020 spring sports will be attributed to individual career totals and records.
  • Program and coaching win-loss-tie totals will be recognized for all 2020 spring sports.
  • Individual or team per-game and season average records will not be recognized for all 2020 spring sports.
  • Individual and team statistical champions will not be recognized for all 2020 springs sports.

*Spring sports consist of: baseball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's tennis (with the exception of DIII women's tennis), softball, men's and women's outdoor track & field
