Jessica Hernandez joined the NJCAA National Office as the new development operations associate in August 2022 under the External Affairs and Development division. 

Hernandez is a native of North Carolina and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. At UNC, she studied Public Policy and minored in health and society. Hernandez's upbringing and professional background is grounded in healthcare, but she enjoys the intersection between sports education and health. Her most previous position was as an access coordinator at a local healthcare nonprofit where she facilitated the medical care of uninsured and low-income members of the Mecklenburg County community.
