Genesee going after the ball during the first half against the Twins

BATAVIA, NY… The nationally-ranked Genesee Community College women's soccer team picked up a 2-1 victory over the Columbia-Greene Community College Twins Saturday afternoon.
Julia Ashworth scored the game-winning goal in double overtime after a pass from Macie Riggs. Carleigh Folts scored the opening goal of the game for the Blue and Gold from an assist from Ashworth. The Cougars offense put 10 shots on net.
Madison Papaj and Alexa Salatel split time between the nets for Genesee.
Genesee 's (4-1) next contest will be at home on Sunday, September 15th at 3:00 pm against the Monroe Community College Tribunes. The game will be streamed live on www.geneseeathletics.com
