SANBORN, NY… The Genesee Community College women's volleyball team participated in the NJCAA Region III tournament over the weekend at Niagara County Community College. Genesee lost in straight sets to both Jamestown and Jefferson before sweeping Finger Lakes in the season finale.

First year head coach Emilee Piechocki was very pleased with how the season went. "It was an incredible season. We had a tough time at the Region tournament but came together and won in a huge match against Finger Lakes. I am proud of my student-athletes on what they accomplished this season".

Genesee finishes the season with an overall record of 16-12 with a 3-4 conference record. Genesee placed second in the WNYAC Tournament late last month.
