Molly Simons joined the NJCAA in July 2020 after eight years with the NCAA National Office in Indianapolis, IN. In her role at the NJCAA, she leads membership support efforts for the NJCAA’s 500+ member institutions. She also maintains governance responsibilities with the NJCAA Board of Regents, Divisional Oversight Committees, Championships Sports Governance Committee and NJCAA Coaches Associations. Additional duties include internal strategic planning and execution of office-wide and Association initiatives. She also serves as staff lead for planning the annual NJCAA Convention and Lead Her Ship Series as well as recruitment and fulfillment of the national office’s intern and graduate assistant programs.

Prior to the NJCAA, Simons served as an Assistant Director in Championships and Alliances at the NCAA from 2015-2020. Simons' primary responsibilities included managing respective sport committees, championship committees, and annual committee meetings. Her duties focused on event and committee management while operating the day-to-day responsibilities for women's soccer, women's gymnastics, cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field, rowing, and softball.

Simons was integral in the NCAA's communication and relationship development, working directly with member institutions and conferences. She started her career as a Governance intern in the NCAA’s highly competitive Postgraduate Internship Program.

Simons has served in a number of leadership roles throughout her professional career. Simons chaired the 2017 NCAA President's Award Selection Committee and served as the vice chair and recording secretary for the NCAA's Advocacy and Communications Team. Simons has previously served as a member of the Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association (CEFMA), Women Leaders in College Sports, and Pass the Torch for Women Foundation.

A native of Georgia, Simons received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Georgia in education, social studies education with an emphasis in human geography. Simons earned a Master's degree from Indiana University in public affairs with a concentration in nonprofit management.
