Triston Henry | Herkimer College (NY)

Triston Henry helped lead Herkimer College to claim NJCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championships in 2012 and 2013.  The goalkeeper's career accolades include being named to the All-Conference, All-Region 3, and NJCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship All-Tournament Teams during his freshman and sophomore season.  During his sophomore campaign, Henry was named the Region 3 Championship MVP and earned NJCAA Division III men's Soccer First Team All-America honors.

Following his time as a General, Henry received a scholarship to the University of Connecticut where he redshirted for the 2014 season. Henry then transferred to Quinnipiac University where he had two outstanding years starting in both his junior and senior years.  Henry currently plays professionally in the Canadian Premier League where he has won two League championships and was presented with the Canadian Premier League Golden Glove in 2020 for being the top goalkeeper in the league.

Yavapai College (AZ) 1997 Men's Soccer Team

The 1997 season was historic for the Yavapai College men's soccer program.  The Roughriders claimed conference, region, district, and national titles while finishing the season with an unbeaten record of 23-0-1.  At the 1997 NJCAA DI Men's Soccer Championship in Trenton, NJ, Yavapai displayed dominant performances throughout the tournament.  In the quarterfinal round, the Roughriders defeated State Fair (MO) 4-2.  In the semifinal round, the squad defeated Mount Ida (MA) 3-0.  To cap the standout season Yavapai shut out Mercer County 3-0 to claim the championship title.

Three student-athletes were named to the NJCAA DI Men's Soccer Championship All-Tournament team - forward Kevin Jeffery (31 goals, 15 assists), defender Matt Kirkpatrick (plus/minus +80), and goalkeeper Kelvin Jack (0.34 goals against average, 17 shutouts). Jack was also named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.  All three student-athletes were also named to the NJCAA Men's Soccer Hall of Fame.

The national title marked the program's third of seven that would be led by head coach Michael Pantalione, who was named 1997 NJCAA DI Men's Soccer Championship Coach of the Tournament.  Now retired, Coach Pantalione accumulated a 636-63-30 record over 31 seasons at the helm of the Roughriders' program.
