Charlotte, NC - College of DuPage (IL) defensive back Guy Goss has been named the 2022 NJCAA DIII Football Defensive Player of the Year!

Goss was a glue guy for the National Champion Chaparrals and led the team with 65 tackles in 11 games, which was the ninth most in the nation. The freshman also accumulated three tackles for loss, four pass breakups, and a blocked punt which they returned for a touchdown. 

The defensive back served as a key piece in the Chaps stellar defense. In the national championship game against North Dakota SCS, Goss finished the game tied for the team lead with seven tackles. The freshman also earned a sack in the second quarter that helped stall a Wildcat drive.

Goss was named an NJCAA DIII Football first-team All-America selection and was also named NJCAA DIII Football Defensive Player of the Week twice throughout the season!
