Charlotte, NC - In partnership with the U.S. Council for Athletes' Health, the NJCAA Student-Athlete Welfare & Safety Council has provided additional resources for member college athletic directors, administrators, and coaches to utilize while returning to play during the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.
The USCAH Return to Sport: Health & Safety Framework
- The framework establishes six categories to ensure you have a plan, a "roadmap," to follow once campuses are opened for the return of students and staff and a safe return to sport participation. The six categories of the USCAH Return to Sport: Health and Safety Framework is as follows:
- Category 1: Development of Policies and Programming
- Category 2: Personnel Education and Training
- Category 3: Facility Preparation and Management
- Category 4: Return to Campus Recommendations
- Category 5: Training and Practice Modifications
- Category 6: Sustaining Cultural Change
COVID Safety Recommendations: Return to Exercise Following COVID-19 Disruption
- The recommendations outline the following:
- Return to Exercise During/Following High-Risk Contact Quarantine
- Return to Exercise During/Following Isolation (Athlete Asymptomatic)
- Return to Exercise During/Following Isolation (Athlete Symptomatic)
COVID Safety Recommendations: Team Travel and Logistics
- The recommendations outline the following:
- Team Travel
- Team Meals & Nutrition
- Team Meetings & Media Interactions
- Screening & Testing Around Travel
