Colts vs the Waves of Kingsborough
The SUNY Orange Colts faced off against the Waves of Kingsborough in a weekend match up as the Colts showed why they were in the Final Four just last season as the first half of the game the Colts were firing on all cylinders and finished the with a whopping 64 points to Kingsboroughs 23. The Colts kept their momentum going as they finished the game with a total score of 97-54. The Colts capped off what was a dominant third win of the season as they continued their 33-0 win streak in the regular season. The Colts had a phenomenal team performance as 5 guys finished with 10+ points and 2 of the five had 20+ points.
Freshman, #1 Marquis Gill (Middletown,NY) was tonight's leading scorer as he finished with 24 points while shooting 10-20 from the field. Gill ended up getting 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals to add to his great offensive night.
Freshman, #5 Jaidyn Rutling (Goshen, NY) was the second highest scorer as he scored 20 points in just 20 minutes of play and added 2 steals, 4 assists and one rebound.
Freshman, #2 Mat Shea (Wallkill, NY) finished tonight with his first career double-double in a Suny Orange Colts uniform as he finished with 19 points and was able to grab 10 rebounds. Shea also added 3 assists and 2 steals to add to his fantastic night
Sophomore, #23 Tyreke Harewood (Bridgetown, Barbados) recorded his first career double-double in a Colts uniform as he finished with 13 point and 10 rebounds while also recording the only 3 blocks in the entire game for the Colts
