Delaware County Drops Low Scoring Contest to Montgomery County

CHESTER, Pa – The Delaware County Community College Phantoms dropped a low scoring competition that came down to the final minutes against Montgomery County Community College. Both teams entered Thursday night's game averaging over 70 pointer per competition but were both kept under 50 points scoring a total of 88 points combined.

The Phantoms found themselves in some foul trouble early in the game, and fell behind 10 points with four minutes remaining in the first have. Delaware County climbed their way back to eventually take a four point lead early in the second half but were unable to overcome a 12-2 point run by the Mustangs leading into the final minutes of the game.

Both teams struggled greatly from three-point territory, the Phantoms were just 1-15 from beyond the arc. The Mustangs had more success but still only shot 13% from beyond the three-point line during the game.

Eric Mckee led the Delaware County offense with 10 points, adding four rebounds, a steal and a block to the stat sheet. Mckee made the Phantoms lone three-pointer in the contest.

Delaware County will hit the road for the first time this season as they are scheduled to make the trip to Bergen County Community College this Saturday, November 18th, tipoff is scheduled for 2:00pm.
