The Tri-C Softball team continued their march toward the postseason with a sweep of Edison State on the road on Thursday.

Game 1  W 13-4

The Tops offense was on fire led once again by Cecilia Stephens who went 3 for 5 with 2 RBI's.  She wasn't alone as Mikayla Rash also had 3 hits and drove in 3 with 2 doubles.  Also collecting multiple hits on the day were Maddie Brockman, Mckenna Miller and Maya Sheller.  Brockman hit a homerun.  The Tops had nothing to worry about on the mound as solid pitching from Hallie Mullett with a complete game 6 hitter with 6 strikeouts.

Game 2 W 8-2

The Tops once again got great pitching from starter Lyndsey Baglia who went 5 innings and struck out 5 while only giving up 2 runs.  Mullett picked up a save as she worked the final 2 innings and got 3 strikeouts.  At the plate, Stephens continues her torrid streak with another 3 for 5 game including 3 RBI's and a homerun.  Also collecting multiple hits for the Tops were Maddie Brockman and Mikayla Rash.

The Tops move to 16-11 overall and 12-4 in the OCCAC, good for 2nd place as they still trail league leading Hocking (16-2).  The Tops are scheduled to play Sunday at home against Edison starting at 1 pm.
