NJCAA Renews Partnership with USCAH

Charlotte, NC - The NJCAA has announced a partnership renewal with the U.S. Council for Athletes' Health (USCAH) to provide access to healthcare resources and information for NJCAA member colleges. USCAH will continue to consult with the NJCAA Student-Athlete Welfare & Safety Council on association-wide health and safety initiatives.

"The health, safety, and well-being of our student-athletes is essential," stated Dr. Christopher Parker, NJCAA President & CEO. "Through this continued partnership, USCAH will continue to provide resources to our student-athletes, coaches, and members on the best practices to ensure health and safety."

USCAH will offer NJCAA members access to Athletics Healthspace, an exclusive secure online portal that offers important athlete health and safety concepts for student-athletes, coaches, and athletic department staff. USCAH will also provide baseline programming of four free courses that include Cardiac Issues and Sudden Cardiac Arrest in sport, Mental Health in Sport, Bullying, Cyberbullying, and Hazing in Sport, and Physical Recovery Techniques.

"We are proud to partner with the NJCAA to prioritize health, safety, and well-being for student athletes," said Jim Borchers, MD, MPH; USCAH CEO and Co-Founder. "We look forward to continuing our partnership to provide best in class resources for NJCAA members."

As part of the partnership, each participating NJCAA college will receive membership for medical staff in USCAH's Athletic Health Care Administrator's Association (AHAA). The AHAA offers peer and expert insights and resources, in addition to continuing education opportunities for medical staff.
