Angelina's Mack named DI Player of the Year

Charlotte, NC – A transcendent presence on the hardwood for Angelina (TX), Natasha Mack has been named the 2019 Spalding® NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Year. Mack becomes the first Roadrunner to earn NJCAA player of the year honors.

Mack spent two seasons altering shots on the defensive end while serving as a force on the offensive front for the Roadrunners. Angelina Head Coach Byron Coleman on Mack:

"It's hard to put into words what Natasha has meant to our program. She's had an amazing career and such an impact on our program. In my 21 years of coaching I've never seen a player who can affect a game on both ends of the court the way Natasha can. Her defensive mindset and ability to choke off the paint is something special.

Natasha is definitely ready for the next level where she will have a tremendous career, both at the four-year level and the professional level. The sky is the limit for her. Our team, our school and our community are all proud of Natasha for receiving this award.
