Inaugural NJCAA Men's Volleyball Invitational site announced

Charlotte, NC - The NJCAA has announced the location for the association's inaugural men's volleyball postseason event.  College of DuPage will host the 2023 NJCAA Men's Volleyball Invitational on its campus in Glen Ellyn, IL, from April 21-23.

The invitational event will be held inside DuPage's Physical Education Center.  The arena has a capacity of 4,620 and was part of the $24 million renovation that was completed in 2013. The center includes a 40,000-square-foot main arena with a 160-meter indoor track. Klaas Court is named after long-time men's basketball coach Don Klaas, who coached the Chaparrals for 35 years and led DuPage to a national championship in 2002. A 14,000-square-foot Varsity Athletic addition on the south side of the center houses facilities for the student-athletes, including men's and women's locker rooms, a strength lab, and a training room.

The growth of men's volleyball at the two-year collegiate level has been supported by a joint effort between the NJCAA and the First Point Volleyball Foundation.  Announced in June of 2021, 15 NJCAA member colleges were named recipients of $10,000 grants to support each school's commitment to add men's volleyball as an intercollegiate varsity sport.  The grant opportunity was first announced in May after the NJCAA Foundation and First Point Volleyball Foundation teamed up to support the initiative of expanding men's volleyball in the NJCAA to become a full NJCAA championship sport.  To learn more, visit: NJCAA Announces Men's Volleyball Grant Recipients
