Charlotte, NC - Reuben Alcala has been named the 2019 Spalding® NJCAA DIII Baseball Player of the Year. The Brookhaven shortstop's strong play at the plate and in the field guided the Bears to win the District C Championship, earning a birth to the national tournament for the first time since 2013 and just second time in school history. In Greeneville, Alcala's efforts helped Brookhaven to a third place finish at the NJCAA Division III Baseball World Series.
