NCCC wins three matches at SUNY Adirondack pod

Niagara County Community College won three of its four matches at Saturday's Region III pod matches hosted by SUNY Adirondack. The Thunderwolves are now 4-4 on the season with a road game at WNYAC rival Mercyhurst Northeast set for 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Niagara CCC 27-25-16-25, Hudson Valley CC 25-13-25-18

Sophomore outside hitter Allie Bubar notched 17 kills and 13 digs in the four-set win. Classmate Morgan Boss, the T-Wolves' setter, had 24 assists, freshman libero Kelsi Palistrant was credited with eight kills and seven digs and sophomore middle Alyssa Schlosser added nine kills and five service aces.

SUNY Adirondack 25-25-25, Niagara CCC 15-20-23

Bubar collected 10 kills and nine digs and Boss added 18 assists in the straight-set defeat.

Niagara CCC 25-25-25-25, Columbia-Greene CC 15-10-7

Bubar picked up 11 kills and six aces in the victory. Boss had 18 assists and eight aces, while Schlosser chipped in with eight kills.

Niagara CCC 25-21-25-22-15, North Country CC 13-25-20-25-7

Bubar again led the way with 23 kills and four service aces as the T-Wolves picked up a big five-set 'W.' Boss had 45 assists and six aces, Schlosser added 12 kills, eight aces and six digs and sophomore outside hitter Miranda Newman came up with eight kills and five digs.
