RedTail Women’s Golf Takes Fourth in Iowa Central Invite

The RedTails traveled to Fort Dodge on Monday, September 11, to compete in the Iowa Central Invite and placed fourth with an overall team score of 363.
Chase Doland tied for seventh, with a score of 85. Olivia Hammel and Libby Larkin were just five strokes behind Doland, both shooting a score of 90 and tying for 14th place. Lakota Moses shot 98, tying for 24th. Lauren Funk shot a total score of 101, tying for 32nd.
Competing individually was Bailey Nuss, shooting 97 and tying for 23rd and Callie Thorne tying for 38th place with a total score of 109.
Head coach Micah Destival had some uplifting words to say after Monday's invite.
"We did some nice things again, but still not playing up to our ability," he said. "This was the third round in three days so I would imagine fatigue had something to do with it, we are looking forward to our home tournament this Friday and Saturday in Waterloo."
RedTails next invite will be held on Friday and Saturday, September 15-16, at the Irv Warren Golf Course in Waterloo, for the Battle of Waterloo Invite.
