Apache Ladies top Seminole

PLANO - Nautica Grant hit for 31 points as No. 16 Tyler Junior College jetted out to a big lead and scored an 84-76 win over Seminole State (Oklahoma) on Saturday in the Collin Women's Basketball Classic.

The Apache Ladies (7-1) swept both games in Plano. On Friday, they defeated host Collin County 78-72.

TJC opens Region XIV Conference play on Wednesday, traveling to Beeville to meet Coastal Bend. Game time is 5:30 p.m.

The Apache Ladies then play host to Angelina College at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 at Wagstaff Gymnasium. It is the first game of a doubleheader with the Apaches.
