Fighting Bee Invitational Women's Results

On Saturday,January 27, 2024 the RedTails competed at the Fighting Bee Invitational at St.Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. 

Freshman Abby Homan placed fifth in the Women's 600 meter final (1:45.173).

Brroklynn Halbach scored ninth in the Women's 60m hurdle (10.67), Kallie Mincks placed tenth (11.07).

Sophomore Abby Bartx placed fourth in the Woman'sSot-Put throwing for a school record of 12.61m.

The women's 4x400 Relay team placed eighth with a combined time of 4:25.69. Sophomores Kendall See (1:08.010) and Kallie Mincks (1:07.900) lead the team. Freshmen Amber Homan (1:04.649) and Tasha Williams (1:05.124), rounded out the final two laps of the race for the team. 

When asked about the team's performance Coach Scott Roberts said, "We had 2 more National qualifiers this past weekend.  Abby Bartz in the shot put (also school record) and Amber Homan in the 1000m.  We had 2 meets, Friday at Wartburg and Saturday at St. Ambrose.  The performances were better on Friday than on Saturday due to fatigue.  I like having 2 meets in a row at least once during the season, as the championship meets (conference and Nationals) both are multi-day meets and the kids need to be able to come back and compete well on the 2nd day."
