No. 13 MGCCC sweeps Holmes
PERKINSTON — No. 13 Mississippi Gulf Coast blasted Holmes 9-0 in a pair of men's tennis matches Thursday at the MGCCC Tennis Complex.
Gulf Coast coach Sam Blackburn showed off the Bulldogs' depth by using two different lineups containing 10 players.
Gulf Coast lost only three games in nine matches in the first match and 13 games in the second.
The Bulldogs (16-2) remain unbeaten in 14 MACCC games. With two matches left in the regular season, they are first in the state.
The teams played two matches to make up the home-and-home series that had been rained out on multiple occasions earlier in the season.
Gulf Coast has rescheduled its match against Itawamba for Tuesday. First serves will be at 2 p.m. at Perk. The Bulldogs' final match will be April 9 when they travel to second-place Jones looking to clinch the MACCC title.
