EAC Men's Golf Finishes Third at South Mountain Spring ACCAC Tournament

The Eastern Arizona College men's golf team competed at the South Mountain Spring ACCAC Tournament on March 24-25 at Dobson Ranch Golf Course, finishing in third place with a team score of 11-under par.

Day 1: EAC in Second Place

EAC shot a team score of 280 (-8 under par) in the first round, placing second behind South Mountain. Freshman Mark McLeod led the team with a 68 (-4 under par), finishing the day in second place individually.

Other first-round scores:

• Fernando Jimenez: 70 (-2 under par)

• Derek McCoy: 71 (-1 under par)

• Adrian Raya: 71 (-1 under par)

• Dharit Iemkanitchat: 76 (+4 over par)

Individual competitor Dicein Taylor shot an 86 (+14 over par).

Day 2: EAC Finishes Third

EAC finished third behind South Mountain and Mesa Community College, ending the tournament at 11-under par.

Final scores:

• Mark McLeod: 139 (-5 under par)

• Fernando Jimenez: 140 (-4 under par)

• Adrian Raya: 142 (-2 under par)

• Derek McCoy: 144 (even par)

• Dharit Iemkanitchat: 152 (+8 over par)

Individual competitor Dicein Taylor finished with a 162 (+18 over par).

The team will continue its season with the upcoming ACCAC Chandler-Gilbert Tournament at Toka Sticks Golf Club on April 2 and 3. Let's Go Monsters!
