
Toms River, NJ - The Vikings are heating up! OCC Men's Volleyball won their 3rd straight match on Monday (3/3), with a 3-1 victory against the visiting Buccaneers of Atlantic Cape CC.
Ocean freshman setter David Alvarez led the Vikings' attack, blasting the Bucs with 20 kills and 20 points, while sophomores Brogan Duelly (13 points, 12 kills) and Steven Tapia (12 points, 9 kills, 5 digs) controlled the floor around him, keeping Cape scrambling. OCC freshman middle blocker Inioluwa Nubi also posted his best game of the season, with a 10.5 point, 6 kill effort.
"Dave (Alvarez) played well tonight, and Tap (Steven Tapia) had some strong kills," recounted OCC Women's Volleyball Head Coach Madisyn Raguz. "Brunke made some digs when we needed them as well."
The Vikings will next host Northampton CC and Brookdale CC in a tri-match on Saturday, March 8, beginning at 11 A.M.
