
Men's tennis team beats St. Lawrence University
The Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team defeated St. Lawrence University Thursday at Titan Tennis Center.
The Titans picked up the 9-0 victory, sweeping all three doubles matches and the six singles matches.
In doubles, the duo of Nick DeVivo and Colin Tavares won 8-3 at No. 1 doubles, then Alexandr Achour and Tomas Quesada Perez won a tight match at No. 2 doubles, 8-6. Jett Leong and Konstantin Kukaras won 8-0 at No. 3 doubles.
Hugo Car continued to play well at No. 1 singles, winning 6-1, 6-2 while Jack Dixon won at No. 2 6-4, 6-0. DeVivo won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3 singles with Perez winning a tight first set 7-6(4) and 6-1. Pavel Kelo won easily at No. 5 and Kukaras won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6.
The men's tennis team will hit the road Friday to play USC Sumter on the road. The Titans will be back at home on April 5 against Millenia University at 1 p.m.
