JOPLIN, Mo. – The No. 10 Mid Michigan College women's basketball team earned another consolation bracket victory at the NJCAA D2 Tournament on Friday, defeating No. 8 Highland (Ks.) 83-72.
With the win the Lakers (30-5) advance to the seventh place game against No. 12 Illinois Central on Saturday (Mar. 22nd).
Chloe Watson led Mid with 23 points, six rebounds, and three assists. Rachel Resio added 20 points and six boards of her own, going 9-of-10 from the free throw line.
Paige Ebels registered 13 points and three assists while Madison Smith recorded 9 points.
The Scotties (27-7) were led by Cameron McNamara with 23 points.
Mid's final game of the season will begin at 1pm ET/12pm CT from the Leggett and Platt Athletic Center on the campus of Missouri Southern State University.
