Niagara County Community College was soundly defeated by host Finger Lakes Community College, 12-1, in Region III action Wednesday afternoon. The Thunderwolves fell to 2-8 overall and 2-7 in regional play.
Freshman forward George Ssozi scored the lone goal for NCCC, which also got 11 saves from freshman goalkeeper Robert Siejak. Noah Fisher had a hat trick to lead the Lakers, who featured nine different goal scorers and held a 31-10 advantage in shots.
Next up for NCCC is a Western New York Athletic Conference matchup against NJCAA Div. I Mercyhurst North East. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. on the school's Sanborn campus.
