Louisburg College saw its men's basketball season come to a close with a disappointing 80-74 loss to top-seeded Pitt CC on Thursday in the quarterfinals of the Region X Tournament at the Wake Tech Gymnasium in Southern Wake County.
The No. 8 seed Hurricanes led 42-30 at halftime but could not withstand a Pitt rally in the second half. LC led 67-63 after a Ismiell Etienne dunk with 4:14 remaining, but the Bulldogs closed the matchup with a 17-7 surge to advance to the semifinals.
