Women's Soccer Season Ends at Camden

BLACKWOOD, NJ.- The Lady Centurions traveled to Camden County College on Saturday for a first round playoff contest against the Cougars.

Brooklynn Smith would get things started early giving Bucks the 1-0 advantage nearly five minutes into play. The goal would be Smith's 16th on the season breaking the current record of 15 which she tied last week and shared with Centurion alumni Jessica Williams. From there Camden would rally at the 32 minute mark as Cassisy McSorley tied things up at one. In what proved to be a defensive struggle for the most part Camden would show why they were ranked third in the region delivering the tiebreaker with nearly two minutes into the second half off of a Taylor O'Rourke unassisted goal. The Cougars would net in the decisive goal thirty minutes later shattering the hopes of the Lady Centurions who had played tough throughout. Final score Camden 3, Bucks 1. "It was a hard fought game and the girls battled to the end; we were very proud of them all season." commented Coach Giordano afterwards.

Camden improves to 11-5 overall and adavance to play Brookdale Community College on Sunday October 30th at Berkley Heights.

Bucks falls to 7-7-1 overall and have been eliminated from the playoffs.

The Lady Centurions will return Fall 2017.
