DMACC sophomore Anne van Hemert took medalist honors with an 11-over-par 82 in the Spring Statesmen Shootout April 9 at Edmundson Golf Course in Oskaloosa.

All seven members of the DMACC women's golf team placed in the top 13 with sophomore Halle Hagberg of Polk City finishing second to van Hemert with an 83. Sophomore Viola Welsh of Fairfield and freshman Haley Loonan of Gilbert tied for sixth with 92s.

Rounding out DMACC's performance were sophomore Lilly Houtakker of Solon, freshman Rebekah Carlson of Jewell and freshman Abby Cook of Story City. Houtakker finished in 11^th place with a 98, Carlson was 12^th with a 99 and Cook was 13^th with a 100.

No team scores were kept.

The DMACC women's golf team will play in the Mount Mercy Invitational April 15 and 16 at Finkbine Golf Course in Iowa City.
