RedTail Women’s Golf Gets First Win in Program History

On Tuesday, September 19, the RedTails traveled to Burlington for the SCC Invite, shooting an overall team score of 379 and getting their first program win.

Chase Doland ended with a score of 82, placing 1st individually for the second time in a row. Libby Larkin shot a total score of 95, tying for 3rd place. Bailey Nuss was just one stroke behind her shooting a 96 and placing 5th. Lauren Funk and Calli Thome both shot 106, tying for ninth place. 

Head coach Micah Destival had some positive words after the successful day. 

"Fun day on the course with the women as they won their first tournament in our program's short history," he said. "Chase played great and won her second tournament in a row. It's been a good fall season so far and I look forward to developing their games."

The RedTails next invite is the Simpson Invite on Wednesday, September 20, at the Indianola Country Club starting at 10:00am.
