The Odessa College Volleyball team opened the 2023 season going 4-0 at the NMMI Classic this past weekend in Roswell, NM.

On Friday, the Wranglers picked up a pair of straight set victories, defeating #9 Utah State Eastern (25-15,25-9,29-27) and beat South Mountain (AZ) (25-17,25-14,25-12).

Saturday, was much of the same as Odessa would defeat #13 Eastern Arizona in straight sets (25-11,25-19,25-18) and finished the weekend with a four-set victory over Tyler Junior College (25-21,25-16,25-27,25-11).

The Wranglers were led offensively by Devyn Lewis who tallied 53 kills over the four matches played. Libero Camila Canedo collected 51 digs, and setter Jade Cuya dished out 118 assists over the weekend.

Odessa will return to action this weekend for their first home matches of the season as they host the Odessa College Invitational Friday and Saturday at the OC Sports Center.
