On Saturday, February 19th the Cougars competed in the 2022 NJCAA Gulf Atlantic District Championship and the NJCAA Region XIX Championship. This event is also the 2022 NJCAA National Championship Qualifier in which a team can qualify as well as individuals from each participating college. 

The Cougars came out swinging on Saturday as they ended up being named Co-Champs of the NJCAA Gulf Atlantic District. The Cougars of Camden CC and Garrett shared the title, with each program scoring 144.5 points. The Cougars were the top placing NJCAA Region XIX Team so they captured the 2022 Region XIX Championship and Head Coach John Chillem was named NJCAA Region XIX Wrestling Coach of the Year. The Cougars had two District Champs - Giuseppe Notte and Shane Whitney. In the End the Cougars qualified 9 wrestlers for the 2022 NJCAA Wrestling National Championship in Council Bluffs, IA which will take place March 4-5.

*133 lb - Giuseppe Notte - 1st place

*141 lb - Jesse Keesal - 2nd place

*149 lb - Julian Aquino - 5th place

*157 lb - David Barber - 4th place

*165 lb - Matthew Kaiser - 4th Place

*174 lb - Joseph Teguia - 2nd Place

184 lb - John Stanton - 4th place

*197 lb - Jacob Moore - 3rd Place

*HWT - Shane Whitney - 1st Place
