Egenes Smacks Homer for Chargers at Coastal Alabama-South

BAY MINETTE, Ala. — Kaitlyn Egenes homered in Game 2, but the Carl Sandburg College softball team lost both ends of a doubleheader at Coastal Alabama-South on Tuesday afternoon.

KEY MOMENT
The Chargers trailed 4-0 into the bottom of the fourth before the Coyotes put up nine runs while sending 13 batters to the plate.

SANDBURG STANDOUT
Ailexa Hunter tallied the Chargers' lone hit with a one-out liner to right field.

KEY MOMENT
Coastal Alabama-South jumped on the Chargers early with a seven-run first. The Coyotes had seven hits in the inning while also taking advantage of two Sandburg errors and a walk.

SANDBURG STANDOUT
Kaitlyn Egenes got the Chargers on the board in the second with a one-out home run. The second baseman knocked the first pitch she saw over the wall in center for her first longball.
