No. 18 TJC Apache Ladies down Hinds CC
BOSSIER CITY, La. — The No. 18 Tyler Junior College Apache Ladies started the new year off on the right note, scoring an 86-63 win over Hinds (Mississippi) Community College on Tuesday in the Bossier Parish Women's Basketball Classic.
Kierra Brimzy led the Apache Ladies (12-2) with 21 points, while four other TJC players were in double figures. They were Trelynn Tyler (15 points), Quatera Limbrick (12), Te'Aire Hambrick (10) and Kennedy Burks (10).
Others scoring for TJC were Felmas Koranga (8), Diamond Atchinson (4), Frankazia Boyd (4) and Erica Powell (2).
Victoria Johnson led Hinds (4-4) with 25 points.
TJC returns to play on Wednesday, Jan. 9, traveling to Lufkin to meet Angelina College. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
