The Pirates faced a tough challenge at the Broncbusters home field, with the Garden City defense ranked in the top-10 in the NJCAA in sacks, interceptions, and fumble recoveries.  The game was tied 7-7 after the 1st quarter, but the Pirates failed to find the endzone thereafter.

With a BYE scheduled for Saturday, September 17, the Pirates look to regroup and secure their first victory of the season against Iowa Central (@ Independence on Saturday, September 24, 1pm).
