Southwestern's Molly Venteicher continues to improve and impress week-in and week-out during her throwing events. Last week, Venteicher set a new personal best in the Weight Throw, sending the weight 15.9 meters (52' 2"). It was good for first place at the Grinnell Invitational. She also won the shot put on her fifth throw that went 12.83 meters (42' 1 1/4"). The sophomore is one of two throwers in the country to be top six in each event. Venteicher is ranked third in the Weight Throw and sixth in the Shot Put. The other - Karsten Deakin of Paradise Valley (Ariz.)
