Badgers Improve to 4-0 With Homecoming Victory over ASA Miami

Box Score EPHRAIM, Utah (April 17, 2021) -- The fourth-ranked Snow College football team improved to 4-0 on the season with a 27-6 homecoming victory over ASA Miami on Saturday. 

After getting shutout in the first quarter and trailing the Silver Storm, 6-0, the Badgers came back to score one touchdown in the next two quarters and finished it off with a pair of touchdowns in the fourth and final quarter, while holding ASA Miami to just points through the entire game. 

Down 6-0 with just :22 seconds remaining in the second quarter, Tevita Noa snatched a six-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Garrison Beach. After the extra-point, the Badgers led 7-6 going in to halftime. After the break, Seth Kaelin scored with 12:10 remaining in the third quarter to extend the Badger lead. Then with 12:36 left in the fourth quarter, Kaelin found the endzone for his second touchdown of the night. Kaelin led Snow with a season-high 135 yards rushing on 32 attempts, averaging 4.2 yards per carry. Then with just :33 seconds left in the game, Beach connected with Myller Royals on a 14-yard touchdown completion to give Snow a 27-6 advantage. 

Beach finished the game with 14 completions for 163 yards and two touchdowns. He also had two interceptions. Taylor Larsen was his favorite target, collecting four receptions for 45 yards. Royals had three receptions for 30 yards and one touchdown. 

Defensively, Robert Fuentes led the Badgers with four tackles, including two tackles for a loss. The Snow College defense held ASA Miami to just 78 yards rushing and 152 yards passing on the night. 

The Badgers will next take on Gordon State College on Saturday, April 24, beginning at 7 p.m. in Ephraim. Gordon State is a club football program affiliated with Gordon State University out of Barensville, Ga.
