Cochise Soccer loses to Mesa

The Cochise College soccer team hosted the Mesa Thunderbirds for another conference contest. 

The first half offered three goals. The Apaches struck first when Maria Azarias (Santa Catarina, Brazil) crossed the ball from the side to find Ivana Siles (La Paz, Bolivia) in front of the goal to put Cochise in the lead. A bit later, the Thunderbirds equaled the score to 1-1. Mesa managed to pull the score to their advantage before the end of the half by making it 2-1.

The second half offered more scoring opportunities for both teams. The Apaches were not able to turn the chances into goals. On the other hand, the Thunderbirds scored one more goal to establish the final score of 3-1.

The loss puts the Apaches' record to 7-5-1 and 3-3-1 in the ACCAC conference.
