ASU Mid-South got down early as the Lady Greenjays scored 23 first quarter points on the way to a 39-27 lead at the half. The Lady Greyhounds then scored 35 second-half points, but Jackson State was able to hold the lead for the victory.
Freshman Adrianne Chambers had a monster game for the Lady Greyhounds, scoring 16 points and pulling down a game-high 18 rebounds. Center Aaliyah Lee stayed in foul trouble most of the game but still managed 13 points in only 12 minutes.
ASU Mid-South took a 58-48 advantage on the boards as they held the home team to only 38.7% shooting, but 21 Lady Greyhound turnovers were too much to overcome.
Next up is the Lady Greyhound Classic November 8-9 as they return to the friendly confines of The Dog House. National Park and Southwest Tennessee CC begin the action Friday at 5:00pm followed by the Lady Greyhounds hosting St. Louis CC at 7:00pm. On Saturday, St. Louis takes on National Park at 12:00pm followed by the Lady Greyhounds and Southwest Tennessee at 2:00pm.
